Mythos: Quiz Privacy Policy

Mythos: Quiz is a quiz and learning app published under the package name app.noesis.quiz . This policy explains what data the app collects, why it is collected, and how users can request deletion.

Data We Collect

• Account and profile data: name, email address, phone number when provided, Firebase user ID, authentication provider and status, profile photo reference, and account creation time.
• Learning data: quiz answers and status, progress, assessment results, category scores, favorites, and saved learning content.
• Social and multiplayer data: friend codes, friend relationships and requests, debate messages, reactions and reports, tournament participation, answers, scores, and related activity status. For access to adult social features, the app processes a date of birth once and retains only the derived date on which the account becomes eligible; the full date of birth is not retained.
• Notification data: notification content and Firebase Cloud Messaging registration tokens used to deliver notifications.
• Purchase data: subscription status and subscription tier used to unlock paid content. Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing.
• App settings: selected language, theme, sound settings, notification settings, and related preferences.
• Security and technical data: Firebase and Google Play services may process app, device, network, integrity-attestation, and service-operation data needed to authenticate requests, prevent abuse, deliver notifications, and operate the app.

How We Use Data

• To create and manage user accounts.
• To save quiz progress and learning history.
• To provide friends, private debates, tournaments, and notifications.
• To restore subscriptions and provide access to paid content.
• To protect accounts and backend services from fraud, abuse, and unauthorized clients.
• To remember user preferences and app settings.

Third-Party Services

Mythos: Quiz uses Google Sign-In, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions for Firebase, Cloud Storage for Firebase, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase App Check with Play Integrity, and Google Play Billing. These services are provided by Google and may process data according to Google's terms and privacy policies. The app does not currently include Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics.

Data Sharing

We do not sell user data. Data is shared only with service providers needed to operate authentication, database and file storage, app functionality, notifications, subscriptions, and security.

Data Security

We use authentication, access-control rules, server-side validation, App Check, and encrypted network connections provided by Firebase and Google Play services. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but access is limited to app functionality and operational needs.

Data Retention and Deletion

Account data is kept while the account is active. Activity records may also be removed through in-app controls where available. Users can permanently delete their account in the app from Profile settings after confirming their identity. This removes the authentication account and associated profile, learning, social, debate, notification-token, and indexed tournament data. Users can also request account and associated data deletion through the account deletion section on this page.

Limited records may be retained when required for security, abuse prevention, legal obligations, tax, or purchase verification. Copies of notifications already delivered to other users may retain limited context until they are deleted or expire.

Mythos: Quiz Account Deletion

Mythos: Quiz lets users permanently delete their account and associated app data directly inside the app from Profile settings. Registered users must confirm their identity again before deletion. If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion using the web process below.

Delete in the App

1. Open Profile.
2. Select the account deletion action and confirm the warning.
3. Confirm your password or Google account when requested.

Data Deleted

• Firebase Authentication account for Mythos: Quiz.
• User profile and its private subcollections, including profile fields, settings stored with the account, learning progress, assessment records, category scores, favorites, and notifications.
• Friend code, friend relationships, and pending friend requests associated with the account.
• Push-notification registration tokens associated with the account.
• Private debate sessions, messages, and debate mirrors involving the deleted account.
• Indexed tournament participation. Tournaments created by the deleted account and their private question sets are removed.

Data That May Be Retained

Some data may be retained when required for legal, fraud prevention, abuse investigation, security, tax, or Google Play purchase record purposes. Copies of notifications already delivered to other users may retain limited context until they are deleted or expire. Subscription and payment records are processed by Google Play and may remain in Google systems according to Google's policies.

Processing Time

We aim to process deletion requests within 30 days after verifying account ownership.

Mythos: Quiz Community Guidelines

These rules apply to debates and other user-generated content in Mythos: Quiz.

Be Respectful

Discuss ideas, not personal characteristics. Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, sexual content, doxxing, impersonation, spam, scams, and illegal content are prohibited.

Child Safety

Mythos: Quiz has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, sexual solicitation of minors, or attempts to move a conversation with a minor to private contact channels. Do not request or share addresses, schools, phone numbers, passwords, intimate images, or other identifying contact information.

Friends and private debates require an adult account. The full date of birth used for the age check is not retained; only the date on which the account becomes eligible for adult social features is stored.

Reporting and Blocking

Players can report an opponent message and block the opponent from the debate screen. A blocked player cannot start or continue debates with the blocker. Reports are queued for moderation and may lead to content removal, debate restrictions, or account restrictions.

Enforcement

We review reports, remove prohibited content where appropriate, and may temporarily or permanently restrict social features or the account. Apparent CSAM or child exploitation is preserved and reported to the relevant authorities as required by law. False or abusive reporting may also be restricted.
